Romantic Summer Wedding in Northeast Ohio

She had been saving them since their very first bouquet.

Tucked carefully into a little box were dried blooms—one from every single bouquet Dillon had ever given Deana. Some were soft and faded from years of love, others still held the shape of their petals, like they were frozen in time. And on their wedding day, they weren’t just a memory—they were part of their story. A few sat beside her details, a quiet reminder of how this love was built, one thoughtful gesture at a time. And then, in one of the sweetest moments of the day, her flower girl tossed those very petals down the aisle, scattering years of love as Deana walked toward the man who gave them to her.

We first got to know Deana and Dillon during their downtown Dayton engagement session earlier this year (see more here!), and it was just as joyful and full of laughter as their wedding day. Getting to see them again felt like meeting up with old friends—big hugs, huge smiles, and so much excitement to finally celebrate their big day!

Their Ohio wedding at Heartland on Heritage couldn’t have been a more perfect setting for a love like theirs. The rolling hills stretched out behind them, glowing in the summer sun, while Deana spent the morning laughing with her bridesmaids, joy radiating from her with every smile. Dillon was just as full of excitement, laughing with his guys and wearing the biggest grin all day long.

But what made the day truly beautiful wasn’t just how it looked—it was how deeply it was rooted in something bigger. Deana and Dillon love the Lord, and it was so special to watch them step into marriage with Him at the very center. Their families surrounded them with the kind of love that only comes from generations of faithfulness, giving them such a beautiful picture of what a godly marriage looks like.

From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us like family—greeting us with huge hugs (and even surprising us with the sweetest gift!). The whole day felt like celebrating with dear friends.
