The rain stopped just in time for Brandon to see his bride.
After falling on and off throughout the morning, the rain gave us the sweetest little window just as it was time for Anna and Brandon’s first look. We stepped outside onto the beautiful grounds of Meadow Ridge Events, set Brandon in place, and Anna made her way toward the man who, in just a few hours, would be her husband.
When Brandon turned around and saw Anna, his whole face lit up. There were hugs, laughter, and one more little surprise waiting for his bride—a handwritten note he had prepared just for her. Watching them stand there together, taking in the fact that their wedding day was finally here, felt like the sweetest full-circle moment.
Because their story had been building toward this day for years.
It started with a simple “Are you lost?” at a young adults Bible study. Friendship came first. Then dating. Then a proposal at the Disney wishing well that had already held some of their biggest milestones. And now, on their wedding day at Meadow Ridge Events, Anna and Brandon were just hours away from beginning their own happily ever after as husband and wife.
If there is one word we would use to describe these two, it’s joyful.
Anna and Brandon LOVE to laugh together, and they had us laughing right along with them all day long. After their downtown Columbus engagement session, seeing them again felt like reuniting with old friends. They welcomed us into their day with the same kindness and genuine care we remembered, and it was so special getting to watch that love extend to every friend and family member around them.
But underneath all of that laughter is something even more beautiful. Their love for the Lord is at the center of the way they love each other and the people around them. We heard it in the stories their closest friends and family shared throughout the day, and we witnessed it during their ceremony as everyone joined together to sing How Great Thou Art. Hearing those voices fill the space as Anna and Brandon worshipped alongside the people they love most was one of those moments we know we’ll remember for a long time.
Even with the rain bringing a little uncertainty to the day, these two carried themselves with so much grace and joy. They were simply happy to be getting married—and that joy was contagious.
There were little touches of Anna and Brandon woven throughout the entire celebration, from the show tunes mingled into their ceremony to the fairytale details that felt especially fitting for two people whose story includes more than a few Disney-worthy chapters. And after a day of watching the clouds, the sun came out just in time for their husband-and-wife portraits.
Cue The Notebook soundtrack.
We walked through the beautiful grounds of Meadow Ridge Events with two newlyweds who could not stop smiling and laughing together, and it felt like the perfect ending to their wedding day portraits—romantic, joyful, and just a little bit like the fairytale they had dreamed about.

Your joy is contagious, your laughter comes easily, and the way your love for Jesus shapes the way you love one another is so evident. We know your desire is for your marriage to point people back to Him, and it was beautiful to see that already reflected throughout your wedding day.
Thank you for welcoming us so wholeheartedly and trusting us to preserve these memories for you. We are so incredibly excited for everything the Lord has ahead for your marriage and feel so honored that we got to celebrate this beginning alongside you.
