Jonathan turned around, and in an instant, Becca was in his arms. Tears mixed with laughter, and in that moment, the world faded away. “You’re torturing us!” she had teased just seconds before we let him turn, but when their eyes finally met during their first look, all the waiting was worth it.
It was pure joy.
Around them, the sound of rushing waterfalls and the songs of birds floated through the air. Butterflies danced between the flowers, and the first hints of fall color peeked through the trees, making Creekside Acres in Germantown, Ohio feel like the dreamiest garden oasis. It couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop for a day this full of love.
From the very beginning, everything about Becca and Jonathan’s wedding felt like a reflection of the God who brought them together. During their ceremony, they tied their unity cross — a powerful picture of Ecclesiastes 4:12: a cord of three strands is not easily broken. Watching them begin their marriage on such a strong foundation was so moving.
Everywhere we looked, their kindness showed. They treated their bridal party and families with so much gratitude, and in turn, their people surrounded them with the same. By the time the reception came, we weren’t just documenting moments — we felt like family. Seeing their engagement photos displayed across the reception was so special too, especially since we had just captured their Dayton Art Institute engagement session a few weeks earlier. It felt like their love story had come full circle — from laughing on the museum steps during their engagement session to dancing under the twinkle lights as husband and wife. Those photographs weren’t just decorations — they were a legacy in the making, reminders of a story that will be told for generations.
There were so many playful moments, too — joyful laughter that filled the air during portraits, inside jokes, and that unmistakable way Jonathan looked at Becca like he couldn’t believe she was his. Theirs is a love that’s pure and joyful, the kind that points everyone around them back to Jesus. It’s not just about how they light up when they’re together (though that’s undeniable), but about the way they love each other with respect, patience, and intention.
Becca and Jonathan, as we packed up our gear at the end of the night, the last thing you said to us is that you knew God brought us into your lives and you were thankful for us. We’ll never forget that. We feel the exact same way. We’ve been praying over your marriage long before this day, and we’ll keep on praying for you as you step into this next chapter together.
Your wedding at Creekside Acres was beautiful, but even more beautiful was the way you reflected God’s love to everyone around you. We’re so honored we got to capture these moments for you — and we know this is just the beginning of a marriage that will shine His light for years to come.
